This section applies to consumers who have purchased their subscription through the Findmypast App.
Subscriptions purchased through the App are purchased from Apple and are subject to Apple’s terms of sale. Apple’s terms and conditions also apply to any changes to your subscription that you may wish to make. Please note that when you make a purchase through the App, Findmypast will not receive any of your payment information.
Subscriptions purchased through the App automatically renew unless canceled. Uninstalling the App will not cancel your subscription. To cancel a subscription purchased through the App please visit the Apple website and follow the instructions.
Refunds on subscriptions purchased through the App are managed by Apple. Please visit the Apple website for further information on how to request a refund and the terms and conditions that may apply.
Upgrades & Downgrades
Upgrades to your subscription tier are managed through the settings of your device.
- Under Settings, select ‘My subscription’
- Choose upgrade
- Select the subscription you want to upgrade to
- Confirm your purchase in the app store payment prompt.
You can also upgrade or downgrade through your Apple settings.
The Price of the subscription is subject to our Price and payment terms. The price of subscriptions purchased via the App may differ slightly from those offered by the Site. Price changes from Apple are subject to their terms and conditions. These prices are determined by Apple’s banding.
Discount Codes advertised for the Findmypast Site cannot be used in the App. Specific Discount Codes for the App may be advertised from time to time. These are supplied by Apple and subject to their terms and conditions.
At present, you cannot use the Android App to purchase or manage a subscription. If you use the Android App, please visit the Findmypast Site to purchase or manage a subscription.
Please note that Free Trials are not available for subscriptions purchased through the App.
Loyalty Discounts are not available on subscription purchases made through the App.
At present, you cannot use the App to make micropayments. You can still use the App to view a record you have purchased on the Site.
Vouchers advertised for the Findmypast Site cannot be used in the App.
