Can I download a Findmypast record?

You can download record images from Findmypast to your computer or smart device quickly and easily.

1. When you are viewing an image attached to a record, look for and select the 'Download record' button
2. This will download the image and prompt a popup from your web browser where you’ll have the option of saving the image to a preferred location on your device.

While record transcripts can’t be downloaded, you can get around this by using the snipping tool available on most devices. Simply snip a screengrab of the transcript and save it to your device. Depending on your device, you may also be able to save the transcription as a PDF by clicking the 'Print' button on the right-hand side of the page - then choose 'Save as PDF' from the pop-up window.
