Selby & District Family History Group

We are pleased to be working in partnership with the Selby & District Family History Group.

We meet in Selby Town Hall on alternative Tuesday mornings 10am-12noon. We have outside speakers at about eight of these meetings. We have member speakers, demonstrations and research days at the other meetings.

We have a library which members may use and quite a few resource items, such a laptops etc. We will undertake research if we are contacted via our secretary. We have about 50 members with an attendance of about 30 at most meetings.

Burial records

The Selby & District Family History Group have contributed records for both Selby Cemetery and Brayton St Wilfred to our vast collection of burial records for Yorkshire. If you have ancestry in Yorkshire, then delve into this collection of burial records now to discover more than 5 million records covering roughly 400 years of history.

The group have also contributed to the National Burial Index for England & Wales which you can explore here.
