Periodical title page says "Established 1807" ( North Wales Chronicle . no 1, 04 Oct 1827, p.1). "The only newspaper printed in North Wales" ( North Wales Chronicle . vol 2 no 64, 18 Dec 1828, p.4). "The press is a powerful instrument for good or for evil. We wish to see the good for the suppression of the evil. We admire and uphold the Freedom of the Press; we despise, abhor, and would control its Liberty, when that Liberty degener (sic)" ( North Wales Chronicle . vol 92 no 4784, p.1).
