These records have been sourced from our large collection of British and Irish newspapers and span the 19th and 20th centuries.
They consist of four main types of record:
Birth notices
Marriage notices
Death notices
In memoriam notices
These different types of family notices were submitted to newspapers across Britain and Ireland to mark important life events. They appeared in both regional and national newspapers on a regular basis, forming a familiar part of publications from the 19th century onwards.
Our collection of family notices is a growing one. This means that we will be adding more and more birth, marriage, death and in memoriam notices to this set, so what you are able to search here today is just a small sample of the records to come.
