Lincolnshire, Workhouse Guardians' Minutes - Spalding

All references to paupers from the first six minute books from the meetings of the Board of Guardians for the Spalding Union from 1835 to 1857 are included in this recordset. The full reference to the relevant book is given in the record. 

The second minute book has several very detailed lists of paupers given medical relief but sadly these gradually disappear. Many Marriage Notices will be found that give details of the place where the couple were to be married, usually non-conformist churches and chapels. Although the references to paupers are few and far between in these books, where paupers are mentioned the information given about them is often very detailed.
