Availability of maps
A series of maps, specially produced for Mackenzie's Comprehensive Gazetteer of England and Wales, are available on Findmypast for all counties of England and Wales plus street plans for the principal cities and towns.
The county maps, coloured to show the political divisions, show the natural features - mountains, rivers lakes and estuaries - and the main roads, railways and canals. There is also a map of the whole of England and Wales, showing the county boundaries.
